The Tata Steel VIP Enclosure in Hyde Park in London will serve as a VIP area for the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship. Tubecon were proud to be involved with this exciting project which is believed to be the largest demountable structure of its kind ever seen in the UK before.
To ensure success on site, the large canopy structure was trial erected at our production facility in Yate - before being taken to Hyde Park for installation at the British leg of the Triathlon ITU World Championships.
The post-tensioned structure is believed to be the longest span of it’s kind seen in the UK. Created to showcase the flexibility of structural steel, the erection was completed without the use of cranes. The pavilion is a post-tensioned hollow section latticed arched structure, with an overall height of 6m and a maximum span of 25m. The roof is clad with five panels of White Ferrari fabric, and the venue comfortably accommodated up to 200 guests.
